Make survey rounds

How the survey round works

  1. Write a question that has many possible answers, such as “Name something you bring to school”.
  2. Enter the top answers and how many points each one is worth. Often the points are simply how many people gave that answer.
  3. On the board the answers are hidden as numbered slots. When a team guesses one, tap the slot to reveal it.
  4. Wrong guess? Press Strike. Three strikes and the other team can try to steal.
  5. Press Give to … to add the round points to the winning team, then Next round.

Run your own survey first

The answers feel real when they come from your own group. A day before, ask your class 5 questions on a slip of paper or in a quick form. Count the most common answers and use the counts as points. Students love seeing their own answers on the board.

Good survey questions

The survey round lives in the same game as the Jeopardy-style board, so you can switch between them during play.

Questions

Where do the survey points come from?

You choose. The most fun way is to ask your class or guests the questions beforehand and count the answers. Otherwise you can set the points yourself.

How many answers can a round have?

Up to 8 answers per round, and up to 10 rounds per game.

Is this the official Family Feud?

No. It is an independent template for your own Family Feud-style survey game. Family Feud is a trademark of its owner.
